Cabled Hat pattern

This was the first pattern I actually wrote down... I had it available for free for a year, I am happy that so many of you have enjoyed it. Thank you for all the feedback, thanks to you all I was able to edit it and design it for more sizes.
The new and edited version of this pattern is available for purchase through Réka Knits or Ravelry.

  1. Wow I love this hat! I cannot believe I just purchased some of that yarn and it is on clearance for $1 a skein at Walmart. Great job! Thanks so much for the pattern!

  2. I am currently decreasing and so pleased with this pattern! This was my first time doing cables after knitting for almost a year, and you made it easy and fast. Thank you for your quick and classic pattern.

  3. Love the design. New to knitting. Understand cable but could you please explain row 4 of the decrease a little clearer please. My understanding is that I take two stiches, the knit 2 then knit the 2 in front back on to the work. Then I take 2, purl 2 stitches and then I purl the 2 in front back on. Repeat. Is this correct? Thanks.

  5. I wanted you to know that I finished up the first hat for my friend's newborn and she loved it! I used Loft yarn, which I adore. He drooled, so I think he liked it. I'm now making one for my 14 month old, with a bulky weight, I really like this pattern, and wanted to thank you again!
